Japan - So Nice, We Went Twice
Part 1: My buddy and I received an email for a round trip flight to Tokyo for around $400, so we immediately jumped on it. However we flew the opposite direction to get there... stopping in Paris on a long layover and making it a really difficult travel. We wanted to climb Mt. Fuji, but picked the one day it down poured... so sadly we had to cut our climb short. Other than that though I loved my time in Japan, taking bullet trains to Kyoto and feeding deer in Nara. A couple other highlights being able to attend a Japanese baseball game and seeing Tokyo Disneyland. Japan was another place that because I didn't get to experience it as I wanted to, I thought I should revisit.
Part 2: I recently came back to Japan and essentially did this whole trip again (minus going to Mount Fuji) to watch the Cubs play the Dodgers in the Tokyo Series. This time I was able to share the experience with my dad, my uncle, and our buddy Fitz. MLB did a great job hosting this event (although it really was a Dodgers showcase with very little Cubs representation), and it was awesome being able to watch the Cubs play in a 4th country
