Hey, I’m Joe Cacchione!
Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, I’ve been a die-hard Cubs fan for as long as I can remember. My dad and I have gone to Opening Day together every year since I was four, and in 2015, he scored season tickets—so you can usually find us in the bleachers.

Growing up, I kept myself busy—obviously by playing baseball, banging on drums in the high school drumline, but mostly sweating it out on the varsity wrestling team. When it came time for college, I moved to St. Louis to attend Saint Louis University, where I made some of my best friends, joined Beta Theta Pi, got involved in student government, wrote for the sports section of the school newspaper, and even spent some time as the school mascot, the Billiken (ask me about that one).
After graduation, I hit a burnout wall and made a spontaneous move to Walt Disney World, where I worked in Parade Audience Control at Magic Kingdom—aka making sure excited kids didn’t get run over by floats. That job introduced me to an incredible group of international friends, which only fueled my love for traveling.

Eventually, my love for family (and the Cubs) brought me back home to Chicago, but I made it a mission to visit all the friends I had met along the way. My dad and I also started knocking ballparks off our bucket list, and I’ve now been to 27 of the 30 MLB stadiums. The baseball obsession runs deep—every year, my best friend (a Braves fan) and I go to a Cubs-Braves game together. And in 2019, that tradition led to something bigger: I met Amy, the love of my life, at a game. Two years later, I proposed in front of the Wrigley Field marquee, and we tied the knot in September 2022.

Life has only gotten better since then. I adopted Amy’s daughter in April 2024, and we just welcomed our baby girl in January 2025. Our little family also includes Zion, our husky/golden retriever. Now, my wife travels with me—she even joined me in London to watch the Cubs take on the Cardinals. And next up? My dad and I are heading to Japan in March 2025 to watch the Cubs play the Dodgers in Tokyo.

The goal? Keep traveling, see all 30 MLB stadiums (only three to go!), and eventually make it to all seven continents. If you ever want to talk Cubs baseball, travel adventures, or the best ballpark hot dogs, I’m your guy.
